Update: Power Restored Spring Valley, La Presa, Rancho San Diego

Power was expected to be restored there by 1 p.m.

Update - 1:13 p.m.

By 12:30 p.m., repair crews had restored service to all but nine of the affected customers. Those addresses were expected to be back on line by mid- afternoon, utility officials said. Problems with overhead electrical systems were suspected in both outages.

About 3,000 San Diego Gas & Electric customers lost electrical service in the East County Tuesday in two outages, according to the utility company.

The first outage occurred about 8:40 a.m. and affected 2,083 customers in the communities of La Presa, Spring Valley, Rancho San Diego, Lyons Valley and Barrett Lake, SDG&E reported on its website.

Power was expected to be restored there by 1 p.m.

A second outage, which occurred the same time, affected 758 customers in the communities of Dulzura, Potrero, Campo, Jamul, Indian Springs, Otay Lakes and Otay Mesa, according to SDG&E, which anticipated resolving the second outage by 11 a.m. Problem with overhead electrical systems were suspected in both outages.
