In a strange, mysterious story, a San Diego County Sheriff's Deputy was involved in a shooting with a Spring Valley woman. The incident allegedly occurred when the deputy was at the woman's house searching for someone who the woman claimed to have been in her yard.

The Lemon Grove Senior Little League team, which consists of players from local high schools Grossmont, Helix and Mount Miguel, returned home to heroes welcomes, as the city and its residents came out to help the boys celebrate their run in the Senior Little League World Series, where they finished second, losing to a team from Guatemala in the finals.
