High Clouds and Lower Temps with More Ahead

Observed conditions for Tuesday, Apr. 5, 2011, from La Mesa Mesonet station. Forecast data from National Weather Service.

Wednesday forecast: Early-morning patchy fog and a 20 percent chance of rain, then partly sunny with a daytime high near 63. Calm wind becoming west between 5 and 10 mph. Mostly cloudy overnight with a low around 51. Southwest wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Thursday forecast: A 20 percent chance of early-morning rain, then mostly cloudy with a daytime high near 61. South wind between 10 and 20 mph with gusts possible up to 30 mph. Cloudy overnight with a low around 47. Thirty percent chance of rain. West wind between 15 and 20 mph with gusts possible up to 30 mph.

Extended forecast: Cloudy Friday with a 40 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms and a daytime high near 57, then mostly cloudy overnight with continued possibility of rain and a low around 42. Mostly cloudy Saturday with a slight chance of rain and a daytime high near 57, then partly cloudy overnight with a low around 45.
