  • What’s Up: Meet local authors of children’s books, mysteries, romance & poetry and a special presentation by renowned wordsmith Richard Lederer.
  • When: 10a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 15.

SUMMER HEALTHCARE SATURDAY

  • What’s Up: San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce will host a free summer healthcare fair. More than 75 booths will feature health screenings, information on health-related techniques and products, fitness centers, insurance and more.
  • When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15.
  • Where: Grossmont Center Mall- 5500 Grossmont Center Dr., La Mesa.

FAMILY FESTIVAL

  • What’s Up: Casa de Oro Library will host an annual Family Festival featuring performances, crafts, games, refreshments and more.
  • When: Noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 15.

'SUNDAYS AT SIX' SUMMER CONCERT: TINKU
  • What’s Up: Enjoy a summer concert in the park. The Sundays at Six Summer Concert Series will feature latin folk music group Tinku.

SUMMER TWILIGHT WALK
  • What’s Up: Mission Trails Regional Park Guides will take walkers through the park on a twilight walk. Learn what happens at the park when the sun goes down and the park becomes alive.
  • When: 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, June 15.
  • Where: Mission Trails Regional Park ,One Father Junipero Serra Tr., Santee.

NATIVE AMERICAN FLUTE PLAYERS

  • What’s Up: San Diego Native American Flute will honor Native American music. The concert is part of the MTRP Foundation's monthly free concert series.
