Earthquake Jars SoCal Overnight

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.1 shook some San Diegans awake early Tuesday morning.

It may not have been enough to wake up deep sleepers, but a 4.1 magnitude earthquake shook up many San Diegans—and others across Southern California—early Tuesday morning.

The United States Geological Survey reported a 4.1 magnitude earthquake 34 miles west of El Centro around 1:28 a.m. Tuesday.
