Weekly Update of La Mesa Back To The '50s Car Show
We had some beautiful cars, large crowds and fine entertainment!
Crooner, Gary Burt from Clay City, IL, was at Don Keating's Car Lot located at 8381 La Mesa Blvd. Gary is a Frank Sinatra type performer and a real crowd pleaser, singing favorites such as New York New York, Under My Skin, Chicago, and more.

At the other end of the boulevard was an 11 piece swing band, The Big Band Ambassadors, who drew a large crowd. I saw the very end of the show, it was fantastic. The brass section was very jazzy. I hope everyone came out to dance.

Special Guest, Miss La Mesa, Lindsay Palser, handed out the trophies at the DJ's corner in front of the newly remodeled Mr. D's Mini Mart located at 8292 La Mesa Blvd.
