La Mesa-based Renovation Realty Renovates Area Home, Adds Value for Owner

More than 55,000 people reside in the City of La Mesa, known locally as the “Jewel of the Hills.” La Mesa-based Renovation Realty is keeping this theme alive by helping a number of residents to increase the value of their homes by turning older homes into things of beauty for future homeowners.

Renovation Realty has renovated and sold seven homes in La Mesa, and currently has two undergoing renovations. As an example, Renovation Realty was selected to renovate an outdated home at 4439 4th Street, across the street from Collier Park and walking distance to La Mesa Village. The property contains two lots, totaling 23,522 sq. ft., which will be sold together. One of the lots contained a 2,430 sq. ft. house, while the other lot had a detached garage, workshop and open space.

Renovations were just completed to give the main house a contemporary design. In the kitchen, the team installed new stainless steel appliances, dark espresso cabinets with brushed nickel handles, and granite countertops accented with multi-colored mosaic tile for the backsplash. New can lighting was installed throughout the home, and the original hardwood floors were refinished to the natural light oak coloring. To give an illusion of larger rooms, the interior of the home was painted a delicate shade of grey, with a darker shade on the accent walls. The bathrooms were also renovated to feature the latest designs, including installation of white vessel sinks with new granite vanities.

The team also added two outdoor living spaces to capitalize on the expansive views, and to give the future owners privacy for entertaining.

One of Renovation Realty’s largest scale renovations to date, the completed renovation features clean lines and a minimalist look. The “new” home feels modern, fresh and functional, plus warm and welcoming with the colors.
