After Half Century in La Mesa, The Highlander Suit Shop to Close Soon
The Highlander, Grossmont Center's first tenant, will close soon after more than 50 years in La Mesa.
Grossmont Center's oldest tenant The Highlander announced plans to go out of business Thursday, CBS8 reported.
The store has been open more than 50 years, selling suits and men's clothing. Some regular customers told the news outlet that the closure is like the end of an era.
"We've always catered to the older gentleman," said Sarah Lee, sister-in-law of The Highlander's owner.
The store will close for good by the end of January or February, CBS said.
