Easter was more than a week away, but Grossmont Center wore its holiday finery Saturday—providing an Easter bunny photo op for parents, live rabbit displays, giant egg-art painting demonstration, crafts for kids and music for everyone. On a warm weekend day, La Mesa’s Danamarie McNicholl-Carter, Miss San Diego’s Teen 2011, also held her charity event at the mall, raising scholarship funds for the San Diego Adaptive Sports Foundation’s weeklong Junior Wheelchair Camp.
