Grossmont Center celebrated its 50th anniversary Saturday with free sweets, live entertainment, face painting, classic cars, historical photo displays and tie-dyed shoppers reliving the groovy days of the 1960s.  A Marilyn Monroe look-alike was present, and pageant queens from around the region attended, led by Miss La Mesa Katie Martin and Miss Teen La Mesa Monica Popp.
