La Mesa Village Is for Lovers — and Valentine’s Day Shoppers

La Mesa is for lovers.  If that’s not the city’s official motto, it’s apt for Valentine’s Day shoppers in The Village.

Several shops in the downtown district have specials and sales ahead of the Feb. 14 holiday.

Pret-A-Porter Salon & Spa at 8043 La Mesa Blvd. is offering a complimentary Essential Pedicure with every $100 gift card bought for Valentine’s Day.  It also has several spa packages that make great gifts as well.

Fusion Glass at 8872 La Mesa Blvd. is offering to double the value of its gift cards. A $25 gift certificate will be worth $50, and a $250 “heartcard” will be worth $500, for example. Limit is one per person and cannot be used for classes. Also: “Not valid for specials, limited edition items, or custom work. Valid on Fusionglass Co. handcrafted products only. Cannot be combined with other offers.”

Fashion Kiss at 8209 La Mesa Blvd. has T-shirts and tank tops labeled “I Love My Hubby” and “I Love My Boyfriend.” Through Feb. 14, these will be discounted 25 percent as the shop’s Deal of the Week.

O’Dunn Fine Art at 8342 La Mesa Blvd. has  a sale Saturday, Feb. 11, of 15 percent or more off any piece.

And San Pasqual Winery Tasting Room at 8364 La Mesa Blvd. has a Dessert and Wine Pairing for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, and Tuesday, Valentine’s Day. Reservations are requested for what is being called an “An Evening of Chocolate & Indulgence.” Cost is $25 a person in advance; $30 at the door (if available) or $20/$25 for Wine Club Members.
