La Mesa Business Owner Struggling With Obamacare

"If you like your plan, you can keep your plan," President Barack Obama said of the Affordable Healthcare Act, otherwise known as Obamacare.

La Mesa business owner Joseph Seiley told ABC 10News the president didn't keep his word.

According to the 10News report, Kaiser Permanente notified Seiley that his family's health coverage will either be canceled or go up 93 percent.

"This is a nearly $8,000 annual increase for myself," Seiley told 10News.

The news organization contacted Kaiser Permanente for a response to the allegations, and the healthcare provider offered answers (click here for the full response).

Seiley's experience is not unlike others across the nation. Click here for a story from the Washington Post labeled with the unflattering headline, "Obama’s health-care promise that people can keep their insurance comes back to haunt him."
