Hooley Celebrates 15-Year Anniversary and Goes Big for St. Patrick's Day

Hooleys Irish Pub & Grill is celebrated 15-years in Rancho San Diego this weekend. (If you are Irish or a fan of Hooleys, you may even be making it a three-day weekend.)

Hooleys kicked off the celebration on Thursday when San Diego County Supervisor Dianne Jacob declared it Hooleys Day in the County of San Diego.

"Hooleys Day" was not the only honor for the local restaurant this year. Irish Pubs Global named Hooleys the 2014 International Irish Pub of the year – an honor given to only one pub outside of Ireland each year.

“From the day we opened our doors in 1999, the community immediately embraced us and has steadfastly supported us throughout the years,” said Hooleys owner Craig MacDonald said in a release. “We are so grateful for all our friends and neighbors for their patronage.”

Anniversary festivities at the Rancho San Diego location run through Sunday night. Highlights include roll back specials, memorabilia giveaways and more.
