La Mesa Post Offices Offer Everyday Cards for Everyday Heroes

The USPS is selling patriotic-themed greeting cards just in time for the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

Sunday marks the 10th anniversary of 9/11, which for many Americans will be cause for patriotic pause. And in the spirit of patriotism, the United States Postal Service is offering themed greeting cards in an effort to honor military personnel, public servants and first responders.

Called Everyday Cards for Everyday Heroes, they feature Americana-styled photographs and sentiments like “Freedom is so rarely free.”

“Americans tend to live very busy lives,” said Janet Coson, the Postal Service’s district marketing manager for San Diego. “But sometimes we just have to stop and take a few moments to thank the everyday heroes who make this nation great.”
