Gimme Another Belt: Bartender Hammond Serves Up Songs, Too

If you love to sing but haven’t made it to American Idol yet, you can use Friday night karaoke at to keep practicing.  

“Everyone sings well,” bartender Kimberly Hammond said of the musical crowd before reconsidering a little. “Mostly.”

With tons of songs to choose from and a book list as thick as an encyclopedia, Hammond says the variety makes this one of the most popular events at the bar. And if you swing by, you’re bound to see Hammond belting out some tunes herself. 

“It’s such a mix,” she said. “Sometimes I’ll sing Rihanna, and sometimes I’ll sing Pat Benatar. It’s so different.”
