Getting Groceries Without Leaving Your House

Family Choice Foods is an in-home grocer that offers all natural, free range, grass fed meats.

One of the Spring Valley Farmers Market's newest vendors wants to take the hassle out of your grocery shopping.

Family Choice Foods is an in-home grocer that offers people a chance to place your grocery order online or with an order sheet, all without having to leave home.

Family Choice Foods offers prices that are comparable to most of the major supermarkets in San Diego County. One added bonus, however, is that FCF will deliver and store your groceries for you.

They have more than 150 different food products to choose from, and more arrive every day.

Ian Ireland, who runs the booth at the Farmers Market, said that all of the food is flash frozen and vacuum sealed, and can stay fresh in the freezer for up to 18 months.

Additionally, because all of the water is removed, items can defrost in as little as 15 minutes.

FCF does not offer pre-prepared meals, but they do offer its customers an analysis of their consumption.

"We don't want people to have stuff staying on hand that you're not gonna need," said Ireland. "We will take a look at your usage, your storage capacity, and other factors to determine how much is best for you."

Ireland said that there is no minimum order.

"We can set you up with as little or as much as you'd like."

FCF is offering a special deal to farmers market customers as well, in the form of a free drawing for one month's worth of free food. Ireland said it equates to 22 meals for 4 people, and can be meats, veggies, desserts, or whatever else the winner would like.
