BO-beau Kitchen + Garden to Take Over Gingham Spot in the Village

A French inspired bistro from the Cohn Restaurant Group that will tie La Mesa to OB's BO-beau Kitchen + Bar.

The Cohn Restaurant Group has begun transforming the old Gingham restaurant in the La Mesa Village to BO-beau Kitchen + Garden, due to open in September, according to Eater San Diego.

Chef Brian Malarkey's Gingham closed in May, and news that San Diego's prolific and popular Cohn Restaurant Group was planning to open a new restaurant with Executive Chef Debora Scott came to light in July.

According to Eater San Diego, the menu will include "some dishes familiar to fans of Ocean Beach's BO-beau Kitchen + Bar."

The restaurant's new design will include a sitting parlor, some communal tables and a softer feel.

According to a Craigslist posting, the new restaurant will be hiring all positions- apply in person Thursday, August 22 from 4-8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, August 22-24, from 12-4 p.m.
