7 Days to Go Until Oktoberfest

Organizers expect 200,000 people to attend Oktoberfest on La Mesa Boulevard to be held Oct. 4-6.

Are you ready for some bratwurst? There's one week to go before the start of La Mesa's biggest event of the year.

Now in its 40th year, from Oct. 4-6, more than 250 vendors will line La Mesa Boulevard and will be joined by four food courts, a beer garden and seven bands. Carnival rides will not be part of the festival this year.

The event is organized by the La Mesa Chamber of Commerce. For more info about Oktoberfest visit the chamber website or see the letter below by chamber CEO Mary England.
