Young Thespians Invited to 'Cats' and 'Oliver' Auditions
Local youth theater companies are holding auditions in the coming weeks to fill roles in "School House Rock," "Oliver" and "Cats."
Local theatre companies are looking for young people interested in being part of casts for upcoming theatre performances.
Cats auditions will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday at Visionary Studio at 7202A El Cajon Blvd. in San Diego. Auditioners must dress in dance clothes and prepare a two-minute song to sing. Call or email the studio to RSVP.
Performances of the classic musical will take place Jan. 22-25.
Students in 4th-8th grades in the La Mesa Spring Valley School District area may audition for Peter Pan Junior Theater's production of Oliver next month.
Auditions will be held Sept. 16-17 in the auditorium at La Mesa Middle School.
Performances of the play will take place April 2-5.

Young thespians are also being asked to audition Sept. 13 for Christian Youth Theater's production of School House Rock which will take place at Red Door Playhouse in El Cajon. Audition time requests started Monday.
School House Rock performances will take place Nov. 15-17 and Nov. 22-24.
