Nick Cannon, the talented actor, comedian, musician and television host, and a Monte Vista High School graduate (Class of 1998) has signed a first-look production deal with NBC for his production company NCredible Entertainment.
Cannon is the host of the the network's reality show "America's Got Talent." He will return as host of the show when it kicks off its next season in the summer.
The 32-year-old is also married to singer Mariah Carey, who served as a judge on the latest season of Fox's "American Idol."
The production deal will allow Cannon and his manager Michael Goldman to develop a variety of programming for NBC, including both scripted and unscripted material.
"Working closely with Paul Telegdy and the folks at NBC has been incredibly rewarding. I am thrilled to expand my role and contributions by creating original programming for the NBC Universal team," Cannon told Reuters in a Nov. 28 interview.
Additionally, Cannon's popular "Wild 'N Out" series will return on MTV2 some time in 2013. He is also set to star in the BET series "Real Husbands of Hollywood," which premiers in January. The series is a spoof of the "Real Housewives" series, and stars comedians Kevin Hart and JB Smoove.
