Believe

Join Visionary Dance Theatre as we close our second season and celebrate the coming of our third season with our Spring Dance Concert titled “Believe”.  Artistic Director Spencer John Powell will premiere a new work titled “Spirit Songs”.   Assistant Artistic Director Zaquia Mahler Salinas will be presenting a piece that was a finalist in Jean Isaac’s Young Choreographers Showcase.  Renowned choreographer and University of South Florida Professor Jeanne Travers will be setting her award-winning piece “Tunisian Nights” on the company.  Jeanne’s “Tunisian Nights” makes its California premiere in this show.  Rebecca Stuart-Orlowski also premieres a duet titled “Wedding Day”. Resident choreographer Khamla Somphanh premieres a solo work.  Additionally, resident choreographer Daniel Marshall, Artistic Director of LaDiego Dance Theatre, will premiere a work called “Trois” that exudes the pure joy of dance.

Come and join us as we open Deca-“Dance”, a month-long celebration of Dance at the Tenth Avenue Theatre, and…for an evening of dance that will make you Believe.
