Children of the World Gathering for Songfest at Lake Murray Church

Your kid-friendly guide to getting out-and-about town

Each week, we’ll give you the lowdown on five great upcoming family activities or events.

Be warned, though. It’s another weather-permitting kind of week–Feb. 23-27. Some great outdoor events are set for this weekend, but remember to bring your umbrella or  poncho, just in case.

Your options, near La Mesa, and in San Diego, include an old-time sea battle for your little “Pirates of the Caribbean” fan, a big competition for young scientists and the chance to see some legendary ballers take the court.
