Behind the Scenes of the YAT Production of 'Footloose' - Pt. 3

Gettin' down to the nitty gritty this week!

Sets, boots, mobs, new t-shirts, new songs and new choreography  made this one productive week for the cast and crew of 's production of Footloose, which opens July 7.

We finally got all of our '80s icon costume pieces approved for our opening number (Paula Abdul in the house!), as well as our country get-up for the "Let's Hear it for Boy" number.  Not having many regular line dancers in the cast, everyone was required to bring in their cowboy boots this week to practice dancing with them on...definitely a different feeling for most.

We received our awesome new bright yellow t-shirts this week and proudly flaunted them during our flash mob at Grossmont Center mall on Saturday.  This was my first time not only being in a mob, but also seeing one, and it was a trip!  The crowd couldn't stop smiling and needless to say, it was a big hit!

Our car wash is coming up this weekend on  Sunday, July 3 at the Shell gas station located at 3520 Sweetwater Springs Blvd.  Here you can get your car squeaky clean and help us pay for the show band at the same time.

Check out the video to see our flash mob and be sure to come back next week for our final installment of Footloose 'Behind the Scenes" where we'll hear from our director and choreographer, Perry Lee, as well as from our two lead characters.
