Behind the Scenes of the YAT Production of 'Footloose' - Pt. 2
Three weeks to go before opening night!
Dancing. Singing. More dancing. More singing! 's charming production of “Footloose,” opening July 7, is well on its way to being a show stopper.
Here is a recap of the past week:
We learned several more routines, some of which included partner and even country dancing—my favorite! This was also the week we got serious about costumes. Being an '80s piece, we searched through piles and piles for the biggest, brightest and “poofiest” attire. We were also given the assignment to choose an icon from the '80s to emulate for the opening scene. Any recommendations?

We finally confirmed our fundraiser car wash for Sunday July 3 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. This will be an excellent opportunity to come out and meet the cast, help us pay for the show band, and get a sparkly clean new ride at the Shell located at 3520 Sweetwater Springs Blvd.
And finally, if you’ve never witnessed a flash mob, let’s just say by hanging out at Parkway Plaza and Grossmont Center this Saturday, June 25 after 3 p.m., there’s a great chance you’ll see one (cameras recommended).
