What You Need to Know for Presidents Day

Schools and a number of government offices will be closed for the holiday on Monday.

Presidents Day—the federal holiday officially known as Washington's Birthday—is coming up Monday, causing a number of changes in government services.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Presidents Day (Monday): Partly cloudy, high near 61º. 20 percent chance of showers. Night: Partly cloudy, low around 42º.

Other Notes

  • La Mesa-Spring Valley public schools will be closed on Monday. Grossmont Union High School District schools, including Grossmont,  Monte Vista and Mount Miguel High Schools, are closed as well.
  • The Spring Valley, Casa de Oro, and La Mesa library branches are closed Monday, but will reopen on Tuesday.
  • The Spring Valley Community Center and Spring Valley Gym are closed, however BINGO games will continue at the community center.
  • Emergency service is not affected by the holiday. Call 911 if you have an emergency.
