Let There Be Light—for Unarius Academy Interplanetary Conclave

Former La Mesan shares beliefs about the coming of Space Brothers from 32 other planets.

The human population is nearly 7 billion, but that’s counting only planet Earth. And while there isn’t any way of calculating the intergalactic populace, Tracey Kennedy is preparing for however many will arrive.

The former La Mesan belongs to the Unarius Academy of Science, an organization founded in 1954 by Earnest and Ruth Norman. A union of science and religion, Unarius teaches of past-life awareness, karmic principles and the arrival of advanced beings—or Space Brothers.

One day, she says, spaceships from 32 other planets will arrive and land one on top of the other to form an intergalactic university. But unlike the erroneous promise of Harold Camping, no specific date is set.

“They won’t be coming to take us away, and they won’t come until people on our planet are receptive to the idea,” said Kennedy, a Unarius student since 1984 who believes earth cultures are an offshoot of past peoples from other worlds.

The location, however, is a known quantity—a piece of land in Jamul bought by the Normans for the purpose. They’ll visit the property this weekend in honor of their 28th Interplanetary Conclave of Light, a celebration that includes caroling, a dove release and communication with the Space Brothers. The two day event  begins at 1 p.m. Oct. 15 at the academy.
