Calling All Campers For Summertime Fun

Get your kids off the couch and out of your hair at a local camp this summer.

While school-age children look forward to summer from the second day of school on, parents are usually not as enthusiastic about the prospect of unsupervised minors running amok for two-plus months.  Instead of shipping them off to some hapless relative or pay out the nose for extended babysitting, try these local day camps and summer camps, which will entertain, educate and inspire your children while keeping them professionally supervised.

Cuyamaca College will host students entering grades 5-9, with three camps to choose from: Pioneer Skills in the Computer World, Art Stars and You, the Artist.  Registration is open now.

Serving a variety of interests, the City’s day camps will include activities centering around art, theatre, sports, engineering, science and more.  Registration is open now.

Children age 5-14 will enjoy field trips, sports, arts and crafts, games, special events and more.  Call the center for registration information and an updated schedule.

Teens looking to spruce up their college applications while having fun this summer will have the opportunity to try out game design software, learn to create video from experts in a real TV production studio, or stage their own courtroom drama at the San Diego Superior Court.  Registration is open now.

The McGrath Family YMCA will offer several day camps for your child to choose from, including tennis, swim, archery and even a web design or video production camp.  Registration opens March 12 for members.
