Spread the Love: Church Hosts Turkey Giveaway

A Spring Valley Church is hosting a block party this weekend that gives turkeys away to needy families.

‘Tis the season to love and a local church in Spring Valley knows it.

New Seasons Church is hosting a community event that will provide free turkeys, clothes and a food distribution from the San Diego Food Bank and Feeding America San Diego to 2,000 needy families. The event is called the “Season of Love” and everyone is invited.

The turkey giveaway event will also feature live music, children’s entertainment and a free lunch for attendees. Local nonprofits will host a resource fair in conjunction with the event that will provide information on community resources available to those in need.
