The City of La Mesa will begin a process that minimizes root intrusion in its underground sewer system. Roots can enter the sewer through joints in older sewer pipes.
The City has hired a contractor, Pacific Sewer Maintenance, to perform the work.
Work was scheduled to begin on Tuesday and is expected to take three days.
