Photo Gallery: Electronics Recycling Event at Murdock Elementary

The event was sponsored by J. Hernandes, a local realtor and parent of a Murdock Elem. student.

Local realtor J. Hernandes of Ascent Real Estate sponsored the free electronics recycling event on Saturday, March 5 at . More than 60 families came out to provide generous donations of electronics, which included items such as computers, monitors, televisions, cell phones and much more.

All proceeds will be going directly to Murdock Elementary.

Hernandes decided to organize the event in an attempt to help the school since so many schools are currently in distress, due to budget cuts. He also felt the recycling would be great for the planet, as well as a jumpstart on spring cleaning.

All Green Electronics Recycling, based out of Orange County, came to lend their helping hands by unloading the electronics, packaging them and loading them onto the truck to be taken for recycling.

Goodie bags were also given out to those donating. Items in the bag included certificates for a free tax service from Liberty Tax, bottled water donated by Fresh & Easy, and snacks donated by Albertson's. Coffee was also donated by Starbucks and Liberty Tax visors were available.
