Woodshop Wizard’s program is currently offered in more than 25 public and private schools in San Diego County.

This project allowed for the creativity and skills of local youth to enrich, improve, and beautify Mt. Hope Community Garden.  In addition, hands-on activities help develop hand-eye coordination, as well as listening and comprehension skills.

Various wooden items needed at the site were constructed with love and intention, by hand, by the youth, ages 2nd to 4th grade.  Exposure to woodworking, painting and gardening provides valuable life, and career, skills that youth can apply in their home, school and community.
