La Mesa Focus June Edition Highlights Construction Updates, Weed Abatement

Inside the latest edition:

• SANDAG  is holding a workshop, San Diego Forward: The Regional Plan, at the La Mesa Community Center (4975 Memorial Dr.) The East County workshop will be held on June 27, 6-8 p.m. It will build upon local planning efforts, and incorporate emerging issues and innovative concepts, to form an overall vision for the region’s future, including specific actions aimed at turning that vision into reality.

• A reminder that La Mesa conducts a citywide Weed Abatement Program each year to identify properties that have dead vegetation, weeds, dry grass, and debris. Residents are encouraged to inspect their properties and remove any dry weeds, fallen tree limbs, trash, or other nuisances.

• Updates on citywide construction including storm drain rehab on Baltimore Drive, University & Massachusetts traffic signal improvements, and slurry sealing of streets.
