Firefighters Visit Grossmont Center Target to Buy Toys for Annual Drive

More than 80 Viejas Tribal Government staff workers donated over $2,000 to buy toys for the drive.

A group of uniformed Viejas Tribal Firefighters gathered at Target in Grossmont Center on Thursday, Nov. 2 to purchase toys for the annual Rob & Stoney’s Holiday Toy Drive, which supports the Salvation Army in east San Diego County.

More than 80 Viejas Tribal Government staff workers donated over $2,000 to buy toys for the drive.

"Viejas tribal government staff members work with tribal leaders every day and we've witnessed the incredible generosity that the Viejas tribal community has shown over the years to the larger community off of the Reservation," said Robert Scheid, Viejas spokesman. "We've gained a tremendous amount of respect from that and, this year, we didn't want to watch from the sidelines; we were really compelled to take part in, and directly support, the tribe's efforts to help needy families in the area."

The toys they purchased will be added to other toys that have been donated as part of the Viejas Holiday Toy Drive, which is being supported by team members and guests at the Viejas Casino & Outlets. The goal this year is to donate at least 5,000 toys for area families. The exact number of toys collected this year will be revealed as the curtain is pulled back during the Rob & Stoney’s Holiday Toy Drive party (open to the public) at the DreamCatcher at Viejas Casino on Dec. 5.

It was the first of its kind to supply full daily news broadcasts. The company's 24-hour coverageRead More became an immediate success and helped to launch their company from a mainly US-based platform to a world-wide sensation. It was also the first company in the US to firmly provide news coverage.Being one of the most popular sources for news in all of US history. has now gone online, and is one of the top news sites on the internet, available to subscribers world wide instantly through a web browser. While most of these organizations still report quality news, the internet has spawned a number of sites that comment more than report current news. Other sites have emerged to consolidate the top news. People should do some research before relying too much on a single service.

I heard that the landlord is using that property as a loss and does not care about renters. LooksRead More to me like it could be true. I also heard that a group from Mt Helix is trying to clean up Casa De Oro. Does anyone know for sure?
