Estrella County Park in Spring Valley

Located off of a residential street on Sierra Madre Road in Spring Valley, Estrella Park slopes down to the back of and baseball field.

After seeing other beautifully maintained and populated parks within our neighborhood, it was difficult to see a park that didn’t have park-like qualities. It’s not that it wasn’t maintained—it was—but you could tell this park was affected by the budget cuts taken throughout the county. There didn’t appear to be any play structures, shade trees or water present, but the grass appeared to have been cut. 

Estrella Park lacked the sense of playfulness you would expect in a county park. Hopefully, someday, it will become the vision that someone had for this park.
