Damon Lane Park, Wild and Free

Nestled between the hills of Mount Helix is Damon Lane Park. It is one of the only parks in our community that doesn’t require maintenance.  Damon Lane is left to the elements of Mother Nature and a relatively small amount of people cross its paths.  A creek flows through it almost year round and there is even a foot bridge for crossing when the water is high.  It is a great short cut for walkers and bicycles going from Mount Helix to Rancho San Diego and back.  The park is surrounded by the backyards of numerous homes and a former chicken ranch.

If you have a chance, take a walk though Damon Lane Park and enjoy a bit of nature in the city.
