Bright Flash in Sky Seen Across San Diego, Southern California

Around 8 p.m. Wednesday a bright flash was seen flaring across the sky in San Diego. Flashes of lights in the sky were also reported in Los Angeles.

The flash was seen in regions across San Diego County and no downed aircraft or explosions were reported, according to NBC San Diego.

Northern and Southern Taurids meteor showers are active this time of year and may have been the cause of the flash of light, NBC San Diego reported.
