Maggie Jaffe, nee Maxine Sharon Aronoff, of La Mesa, was born on June 21, 1948, in Brooklyn, NY.
Jaffe, who was a writing instructor at San Diego State University and a published poet, died at age 62 of bladder cancer on March 5, 2011, at San Diego Hospice.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 10, at the amphitheater at Mission Trails Regional Park in San Diego.
Donations in Jaffe's name may be made to San Diego Hospice.
