Council Meeting Tonight, $24M Blog and Bougainvilleas

1. La Mesa City Council Meeting-
Begins at 6 p.m. at City Hall (8130 Allison Ave). 
The meeting topics are set to include the Quarterly Crime Report from Police Chief Aceves, consideration of the permit for this year's Oktoberfest, PBID updates, city parking fund, consideration of $5.5 million in bonds for a 60-unit multifamily housing complex at 9000 Campina Court.

2. Kenny Arnoff at Guitar Center La Mesa- 7pm Tuesday at Guitar Center, 8825 Murray Dr.

4. City Flower: Bougainvillea (Barbara Karst Red)
I hope there's no fine for killing the city flower, because I'm about to dig up the six Bougainvillea plants around my property that look so beautiful but drop flowers like crazy and grow like bamboo. It must be something in the soil around here, these thorny beauties strut their stuff all around town.
