Martin Luther King Jr. Day Closures in Spring Valley and Across County
A number of county offices are closed on this national holiday.
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a good deal of government offices and services are closed on Monday, Jan. 16.
• Schools in the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District are closed. Grossmont Union High School District schools, including Monte Vista and Mount Miguel high schools are also closed. The Spring Valley and Casa de Oro library branches,and other County libraries, the Spring Valley Gym and the Spring Valley Community Center are also closed.
• Mission Trails Regional Park and the Visitors' Center will be open, along with Balboa Park, San Diego municipal golf courses and other County parks are open. It's a great day to roam a park!
• Trash will be collected on a normal schedule, and trolleys and buses are running.
• State and federal offices, including courts, will also be closed.
