Knife-Wielding Trio Rob Downtown Pedestrian of $200

Police say male victim, 27, gave up cash from wallet after being shoved from behind.

A 27-year-old man was robbed of $200 Thursday night when three knife-wielding men downtown demanded money, La Mesa police said.

The victim was walking east on La Mesa Boulevard at Date Avenue around 10 p.m. when two black men and one Asian man approached him from behind, according to police Lt. Dan Willis.

One suspect then shoved the victim, he said.
